Where French lifestyle meets modern design – the new wine department at SUPER U Seltz
French lifestyle in Seltz
In Seltz, just a few kilometers from the German border, there is a supermarket that breathes French lifestyle: the SUPER U. Here customers find everything they desire – from fine cheeses to Crémant to regional and national wines. No wonder many German visitors regularly come here to enjoy a piece of art de vivre.
The wish for more space and experience
But the wine department, the heart of French culinary culture, had become outdated. On just 70 m², only a fraction of the range could be shown. The wish was clear: more space, more variety, more experience.
From 70 to 300 square meters – the new wine world
This is where we came in. Together with SUPER U, we developed a new concept – spacious, modern, and inviting. From the modest 70 m² emerged an impressive 300 m² wine world that now shines in completely new splendor.
Elegant shelves for maximum clarity
Along the walls, noble 36.6-meter-long wine shelves in warm walnut décor line up, three meters high and modular in design. Here the wines find their fixed place – presented upright, clearly organized, and immediately accessible. In the center of the room, 32.4 meters of low shelves complete the presentation. They are like small stages for promotional wines and special offers that catch the eye and spark curiosity.
Details with added value
Even the supporting columns were integrated into the concept: clad with half-shelves and fitted with boards, they invite the spotlight on special wines, promotions, or recommendations.
A real highlight is the mobile tasting counter on wheels. Whether for a spontaneous tasting, an event, or a presentation – it can be flexibly used in the store and brings enjoyment directly to the customers.
Of course, we also thought about practicality: all furniture is equipped with a robust bumper rail that reliably protects it from shopping carts.
A place to discover and enjoy
Thus, at the SUPER U in Seltz, a wine department has been created that is much more than just a sales area. It is a place to browse, taste, and enjoy – a piece of French wine culture that delights customers and captivates them time and again.
